Frequently Asked Questions So You Don't Have To

Do you travel?
Absolutely. I'd love to adventure with you to any location of your choice. Destination sessions require travel expenses to be covered in addition to the photography package you land on. For weddings, it is $1 per mile beyond 50 miles of total travel and overnight stays are required for anything beyond 2 hours of driving (including projected traffic).
How many photos do you deliver?
A standard session will get you a minimum of 50 photos. For weddings, it is around 30-50 photos per hour of coverage but if they're good, you'll get 'em! I try not to limit how many photos you will get. These are your special moments and I am not going to gatekeep them from you.
Do you have a studio/ indoor space?
While I personally do not, there are plenty of studio options in the Hampton Roads Area, with travel fees applying to outside the Hampton Roads area. Studio rental fees are not part of photography packages and ant extra fees are of the responsibility of the client.
Where are you based out of?
I'm based out of Virginia, specifically in the Hampton Roads area currently but I have root in Northern Virginia as well!
What is you turnaround time?
About 3 months for elopements & wedding, and around 2-3 weeks for everything else. I love what I do and I personally edit each session based off the vibe of each session. I think editing is what really transforms a photo and pulls out all of that raw emotion.
Do you provide sneak peeks?
I do for weddings (you will get some sweet sneaks within a week post-wedding)!
Elopement and regular session are delivered all at once. I find it helps to streamline my editing process so you can get the full gallery sooner!
Will you help with what to wear?
ABSOLUTELY! After booking, I send over an outfit guide & questionnaire so we can get a good feel for the vibe and mood of the shoot and make sure our fits aren't clashing with the location! I will usually make a moodboard specifically for your shoot after I get a little more information (from our talks and the questionnaire). I want you to feel confident and comfortable about all the things going into the shoot!
How long have you been a photographer?
Over 15 years! It depends on when we start the timeline. I've been behind the camera on and off for 18 years. I got my first DSLR when I was in high school but I didn't take photographing people seriously until college. I took a photography class and was hooked. I worked as a graphic designer post college, photographing intermittently and decided to officially open my photography business after the birth of my son in 2025.
Do you provide raw files?
Trust me, you don't want them. Most people, outside of other photographers, don't know how to use these file types or have the programs to access them, and you don't need to! Don't worry, I totally got you covered with editing!
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our session?
Dates are rain or shine. Rain makes for some pretty phenomenal photos.
As long as it isn't crazy or potentially hazardous weather like a hurricane, tornado, or like 100 degrees outside, I recommend we just go with it! I want you to be happy with the outcome, but we can get some truly amazing and unique work by embracing what the weather gives us. Sometimes, the universe will deliver us just what we need without us knowing it.<3
What is your cancellation policy?
Things happen!
However, if you have to cancel for some reason, you will not receive a refund for your deposit as it is a non-refundable deposit but it is good towards any session for me to use within a 6 month timeframe.
If I had to cancel for some reason, which would only happen in the case of an emergency or something out of my control (illness, death, catastrophe), I would refund any amount paid and your deposit and do my absolute best to find you an amazing replacement or get you rescheduled with me ASAP if it is non-wedding shoot.
What time of the day is best for lighting
Evening!
I like to schedule all outdoor photoshoots in the evening. We can shoot at just about anytime, but the lighting is more predictable and easier to work with in the evening (think less shadows from harsh light).
If you are choosing to shoot at an indoors location, make sure it's a spot with open windows and natural light.
Do you offer payment plans
Yes I want to work with you. You can contact me at booking and we can breakdown the payment into smaller payment over a set time.
